The UFG Institute for Professional Education 


   The UFG Institute for Professional Education (UFG) was formed in 1994 by a group of Financial Service Practitioners who served on the faculties of various Universities and Colleges in the Midwest.  Its purpose was to offer individuals in the Financial Services field, classroom-based, academically sponsored, non-credit career and professional development programs such as the Marquette CFP®  Board- Registered Education Program

 

  Unitech Financial Group, Inc serves as the corporate agent for UFG.   Unitech is headquartered in Naperville, Illinois.  It  was incorporated in Texas in 1986 to foster the commercialization of University Research and worked closely in the 1980's with the Center for Technology Development and Transfer at the University of Texas at Austin, and the Texas Business Development Division of Texas A & M University. Over the years, Unitech has established a reputation as a quality provider of services in the areas of  Investment Education, Technology Leasing, Capital Formation & Business Development. 


Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and federally registered CFP (with flame logo) ® , which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.   

 Marquette University et al., does not certify individuals to use the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame logo) ® marks.  CFP certification is granted only by Certified  Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination requirements.
