Can I take the CFP® Certification Examination
without
completing a CFP Board- Registered Program ?
If you
have experience in the Financial Services Field and have certain CFP Board
approved advanced degrees, or hold one of the following designations
- CPA,
ChFC, CLU, or CFA, it is possible
to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination without first completing a CFP Board-Registered
program i.e. "Challenge the exam". For more information on challenging the
CFP®
Certification Exam contact CFP Board at 1-888-CFP-MARK .
How can I become an instructor for
the UFG Institute for Professional Education?
If
you have a graduate or professional academic degree in a field associated with
financial services, 10 years professional experience, some teaching
background, and qualify for membership in the Financial Planners
Association, then call at (630) 369-8003 for an interview.
Certified
Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the marks CFP®,
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and federally registered CFP (with flame
logo) ® , which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial
and ongoing certification requirements.
Marquette
University, et al., does not certify individuals to use the CFP®,
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame
logo) ® marks. CFP certification is granted only by Certified
Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. to those persons who, in addition to
completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered
Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination
requirements.
